Located in Kahta, Adıyaman, Karakuş Tumulus is a mausoleum for the women in the Royal Family of Commagene. The top of the tumulus is formed by pebbles. Approximately 20 meters high, the tumulus was called "Blackbird" (Karakuş) by the locals because of the eagle statue on the column to the south of the tumulus, and the name still stands today.
