Opened in 1989, the Erbil Civilization Museum is located next to the archaeological site Qaling Agha Hill, just a 10-minute drive from the Dedeman Erbil.

Opened in 1989, the Erbil Civilization Museum is located next to the archaeological site Qaling Agha Hill, just a 10-minute drive from the Dedeman Erbil. The museum’s impressive collection is housed in three halls, each of which contains artefacts from different eras. The oldest artefacts are from 5000 B.C. and are in the exhibit covering the Stone Age, and Halaf, Arido, Ubed, Warka, and Sumerian eras. The second hall houses artefacts from the Urartian, Hadhar, Assyrian, Khuriakan and Luriakan periods, while the third hall displays finds from the Islamic era, primarily from the Abbasid period between 750-1258 A.D.
